Ebbene si, avete capito!
La nostra release di punta, la 11.1 a 64bit basata su Linux Mint 21.x si fa in tre!
Le varie immagini di sistema, pubblicate diversi giorni fà, vengono regolarmente scelte dai nostri utenti, in base alla scelta del desktop manager preferito.
Abbiamo realizzato un nuovo tool per i download che fosse dinamico e lasciasse maggiore scelta ai nostri utenti, per cui adesso non vi resta che farvi sotto!
Andate nella pagina dei download e selezionate la vostra release, l'architettura di sistema ed il vostro desktop manager preferito ed il gioco è fatto.

The various system images, published several days ago, are regularly chosen by our users, based on their choice of preferred desktop manager.
We have created a new download tool that is dynamic and leaves more choice to our users, so now all you have to do is get going!
Go to the download page and select your release, system architecture and your preferred desktop manager and that's it.

Ufficio Zero Linux OS sottoscrive la Lettera Aperta di Suse
Sovranità digitale, quest'ultima sconosciuta almeno in Europa.
Il 27 maggio la Commissione Europea presenterà il Tech Sovereignty Package, si spera per iniziare una nuova era non solo fatta di soliti slogan ma anche di fatti concreti.
Per troppo tempo si è sentito parlare di sovranità digitale senza però far seguire i fatti ed in tutto questo le istituzioni europee sono ancora legate a servizi forniti da Big Tech, ormai incontrollabili.
Vogliamo che i singoli stati membri ed anche le istituzioni europee possano finalmente riappropriarsi dei propri dati, creando servizi ed infrastrutture che possono controllare direttamente, evitando quindi di doversi concedere alla prima Big Tech di turno.
Per questo, il nostro team ha sottoscritto con immenso piacere la Lettera Aperta promossa da Suse con l'augurio che ci sia un reale cambiamento e che vengano ascoltate tutte le associazioni di categoria ed i progetti Open Source!

Nuovo repository deb per le stampanti
Il problema principale di ogni release linux è rappresentato dalla mancanza di driver per le stampanti e le multifunzioni, ma anche dalla difficoltà di installazione degli stessi.
Da alcuni giorni abbiamo implementato un nuovo repository di pacchetti deb che contiene la maggior parte dei driver di stampanti e multifunzioni in commercio.
Questo nuovo repository è stato già implementato in aggiunta su ogni release che utilizza pacchetti deb e quindi sulle release 10 Basic, Tropea, Urbino, Portofino e Vieste.
Se dovessero mancare alcuni driver potete inviarci una richiesta alla mail dev[at]ufficiozero.org e cercheremo di rilasciare il driver della vostra stampante.

The main problem of every linux release is represented by the lack of drivers for printers and multifunctions, but also by the difficulty of installing them.
For some days we have implemented a new deb package repository that contains most of the printer and multifunction drivers on the market.
This new repository has already been implemented in addition on each release that uses deb packages and therefore on the 10 Basic, Tropea, Urbino, Portofino and Vieste releases.
If some drivers are missing, you can send us a request to dev[at]ufficiozero.org and we will try to release the driver for your printer.
