Tre anni insieme ai nostri utenti e tante aspettative.

Il 15 Aprile del 2020 risorgeva dalle ceneri il progetto made in Italy, voluto dal suo patron, Julian Del Vecchio, e dall'azienda che dirige, SIITE SRLS, con base nel lodigiano.
Insieme ad altri due volontari, Riccardo Leguti ed Adriano Morselli, si è partiti da una versione poco curata per arrivare oggi, ad avere svariate release curate, stabili, flessibili, aggiornate e complete anche di un repository aggiuntivo per i driver delle varie stampanti.
I passi fatti, grazie anche al supporto di altri volontari che hanno affiancato lo staff per un breve periodo, hanno dimostrato il vero potenziale del progetto che continua a portare avanti versioni sia a 32 che 64bit.
Pensiamo che con qualsiasi hardware si ha si può lavorare bene, se si installa una delle nostre release, tanto che molti nostri utenti gradiscono anche le versioni a 32bit, cercando di riciclare ed ottimizzare l'hardware a propria disposizione.
Vogliamo ringraziare i nostri utenti che continuano ad utilizzare ed apprezzare i nostri sistemi e dedicare loro il video postato di seguito.
On April 15, 2020, the project made in Italy and wanted by its patron, Julian Del Vecchio, and by the company he manages, SIITE SRLS, based in the Lodi area, rose from the ashes.
Together with two other volunteers, Riccardo Leguti and Adriano Morselli, We started from a poorly maintained version to arrive today, to have various well-kept, stable, flexible, updated and complete releases also with an additional repository for the drivers of various printers.
The steps taken, thanks also to the support of other volunteers who have joined the staff for a short period, have demonstrated the true potential of the project, which continues to carry forward both 32 and 64bit versions.
We think that whatever hardware you have, you can work well if you install one of our releases, so much so that many of our users also like the 32bit versions, trying to recycle and optimize the hardware at their disposal.
We want to thank our users, who continue to use and appreciate our systems and dedicate to them the video posted below.

Nuovo repository rpm per le stampanti
Una delle più frequenti ricerche da parte degli user di Linux riguarda il driver delle stampanti.
Sebbene la release Cagliari utilizzi il repository di PCLinuxOS, che comprende un numero veramente cospicuo di driver per le stampanti, abbiamo pensato di creare un ramo a parte dove trovare pacchetti più aggiornati e specifici per molte delle stampanti in uso.
Chiaramente non è possibile inserire tutti i driver ma saremo lieti di inserirne altri su vostra richiesta con una mail a: dev[at]ufficiozero.org
One of the most frequent searches by Linux users concerns the printer driver.
Although the Cagliari release uses the PCLinuxOS repository, which includes a very large number of printer drivers, We decided to create a separate branch where you can find more updated and specific packages for many of the printers in use.
Clearly it is not possible to insert all the drivers but We will be happy to insert others upon your request by sending an email to: dev[at]ufficiozero.org

I dispositivi Fido2 Yubico possono essere usati sulle nostre release
Da oggi, mediante i vari pacchetti rilasciati sui nostri repository, è possibile installare le utility per i dispositivi Yubikey Fido2 sulle nostre release.
I dispositivi Yubico insieme a quelli di SwissBit possono quindi essere utilizzati poichè compatibili con sistemi GNU/Linux.
Per farlo potete utilizzare Synaptic, ma prossimamente integreremo i pacchetti in una apposita sezione del Postinstall.
Abbiamo quindi elevato il grado di sicurezza delle nostre release, per tutti coloro che volessero implementare soluzioni di sicurezza in ambito aziendale.
From today, using the various packages released on our repositories, it is possible to install the utilities for the Yubikey Fido2 devices on our releases.
The Yubico devices together with those of SwissBit can therefore be used since they are compatible with GNU/Linux systems.
To do this you can use Synaptic, but soon we will integrate the packages in a special section of the Postinstall.
We have therefore raised the level of security of our releases, for all those who want to implement security solutions in the corporate environment.

Cambiare l'interfaccia di LibreOffice Writer in stile Office
Abbiamo rilasciato un pacchetto di transizione visiva per le release 10 Plus, 11 e per la nuova Lorena che vedrà la luce molto presto per modificare l'aspetto di Libre Office Writer in stile Office.
Questo, un altro piccolo passaggio fondamentale per chi volesse usare le nostre release per la transizione da sistemi operativi proprietari ai nostri Open Source.
Se interessati, vi basterà installare il pacchetto mediante Synaptic ricercandolo con il nome lo-theme-ms o in alternativa tramite terminale con i comandi di seguito:
sudo nala install lo-theme-ms oppure sudo apt-get install lo-theme-ms
che installerà l'installer lothemems che dovrà essere eseguita ed all'avvio di LibreOffice Writer potrete godere di un'esperienza visiva simile a Word.
Il pacchetto quindi è opzionale e può essere liberamente installato dai nostri utenti che hanno più familiarità con Word.
We have released a visual transition package for the 10 Plus, 11 and the new Lorena releases that will be released very soon to change the look of Libre Office Writer in Office style.
This is another small fundamental step for those who want to use our releases for the transition from proprietary operating systems to our Open Source.
If interested, you can simply install the package via Synaptic by searching for it with the name lo-theme-ms or alternatively via terminal with the following commands:
sudo nala install lo-theme-ms or sudo apt-get install lo-theme-ms
which will install the lothemems installer which will need to be run and when you start LibreOffice Writer you will be able to enjoy a visual experience similar to Word.
The package is therefore optional and can be freely installed by our users who are more familiar with Word.
