Con il sopravvento della release Portofino (basata su Devuan Chimaera) è inevitabile che il supporto alla precedente release Roma (basata su Devuan Beowulf) volga al termine.

Il 31 Agosto 2022 è la data di fine vita della release Roma, di cui però il repository sarà mantenuto fino a Dicembre 2022.

I principali pacchetti saranno mantenuti aggiornati fino alla data del 31 Agosto 2022.

Gli utenti che hanno avuto esperienze positive con la release Roma possono installare la versione Portofino.

With the upper hand of the Portofino release (based on Devuan Chimaera) it is inevitable that support for the previous Roma release (based on Devuan Beowulf) will come to an end.

Tale applicazione è disponibile sui repository delle release: Roma, Siena, Portofino, Vieste, Tropea ed Urbino.

Come installare il tool?

Semplice e rapido: vi basterà avviare il nostro postinstall presente nel menu delle applicazioni o cercandolo per digitazione della parola "postinstall", recarsi sulla macrocategoria "sicurezza" e selezionare i pacchetti desktop-firewall-it (per avere l'interfaccia grafica in lingua italiana) o desktop-firewall-en (interfaccia grafica in lingua inglese) e proseguire con l'installazione. Al termine dell'installazione vi basterà riavviare il vostro pc per avere OpenSnitch perfettamente funzionante.

Siamo lieti di annunciarvi l'uscita della release Urbino, basata su LMDE5, che prenderà il posto della release Siena di cui il termine del supporto è programmato a fine Agosto 2022.

La release Urbino introduce varie novità, già rilasciate per le altre release:

• postinstall contenente nuovi programmi proposti
• possibilità di installare un firewall desktop in lingua italiana/inglese (OpenSnitch) tramite il postinstall
• HDD Cleaner pulisce lo spazio disco da vecchie versioni kernel non più in uso
• nuovo installer arubasign

Urbino è rilasciata per architetture a 32/64 bit ed è basata su LMDE5, questo significa che porta con se novità utilizzate dal team Mint ma anche dalla comunità Debian.

We are pleased to announce the release of Urbino, based on LMDE5, which will take the place of the Siena release whose end of support is scheduled for the end of August 2022.

The Urbino release introduces various new features, already released for the other releases:

• postinstall containing new proposed programs
• possibility to install a desktop firewall in Italian/English language (OpenSnitch) through the postinstall
• HDD Cleaner cleans the disk space from old kernel versions that are no longer in use
• new ArubaSign installer

Urbino is released for 32/64 bit architectures and is based on LMDE5, this means that it brings with it new features used by the Mint team but also by the Debian community.
